Hi everyone, well it is now December (where did the year go??)and with Christmas creeping up on us, it is time for a new challenge ;o)  First of all though thank you so much to all those who have entered the November challenge - there were so many beautiful projects.  Apologies that I haven't commented, I have looked at each one but I have had three weeks of being really poorly.  Looking through them all though was a great way to cheer up :o)  The winner and top three will be chosen over the weekend and I will pop them on here on Monday ;o)  Please make sure you check back to see if you've won!

So onto our theme for the December challenge which is;
Christmas and/or Winter

The prize for the winner (picked by random number generator) will be a £15.00 voucher to spend online at Ladybug Crafts . (and as it's Christmas I might pick a second winner who will receive a £10 voucher to spend online ;o))  There will also be a top 3 chosen and they can have a top 3 blinkie to display on their blog if they want to :o)

As usual the design team have done some fab cards to inspire you;

I hope you will join us all for our December challenge and join in the festive cheer ;o) Remember there are 2 chances to win this month and we really enjoy looking through all the great artworks that you produce (great for inspiration when your mojo goes wandering !)

New Design Team Members

Good morning all ;o)  Well the sun is shining here and I have loads of crafting to get done but I thought I would pop on here first and let everyone know the members of the new design team!!!  First of all though can I just say thank you all so much for entering the DT call - I had the hardest job choosing who would make it as all your designs are just fabulous - I could have picked you all but I had to limit myself to 5!  However, the team may expand in the future so there will be more chances then.  It took me days of looking through the blogs and returning to them all again and again but in the end a decision had to be made, so the first design team members for the Ladybug Crafts challenges are;

Vick

Sue

Please take a trip over to their blogs and have a look at all their amazing designs - you can't fail to be inspired when there are so many talented people around ;o)
I am not sure of the exact start date of the first challenge yet but it will definitely be in the next few weeks and as soon as I have a date fixed I will post on here - I really hope many of you will join in and share the fun with the rest of us.

I shall be back shortly and perhaps will have a stamp or two to giveaway while we wait for the challenges to begin ;o)

DT Call now closed

Hello everyone - weel the DT call is now closed and can I just say a big thank you to all of you who have tried out ;o)  I have briefly been round everyone and I have no idea how I am going to choose as you're all brilliant!!  Anyway I shall make my decision this week and I will let those whjo are successful know by Saturday evening (UK time) at the latest (I hope!)  I have been flat on my back for three days knocked out with a wicked migraine which is why I am a little late posting this.  Unfortunately I just don't have the time to contact everyone so if you don't hear from me this week it means you have not made the team this time - but I am sure I will need more people in the future so I will make sure I am following all of your blogs ;o)
Thanks again and I'll be in touch with my Design Team soon.

New stamp sample ;o)

Hello again, I thought you might like to see a card I've made with one of the new stamps from the store.  It is using a Unity stamp set called First Love, which you can find here ;

I coloured the stamp in with Distress Markers after stamping it in Versafine which is waterproof ;o)  I embossed a piece of Core'dinations card for the background and then used papers from the First Edition Summer Breeze pad - the floral piece is glittered which you can't see too well in the photo.  I used a nestie to cut the image and a mat out and also the sentiment shape matches.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I stamped with Peacock Feathers Distress ink and embossed with clear powder.  I inked the edges with shell pink Adirondack ink.  I added some ribbon from my stach and awooden button with some bakers twine tied in it.  I did the inside of the card to match ;o)
I hope you like it

P.S. Don't forget there are only 4 days left to enter the DT call here .

An itty bitty stamp ;o)

Hello - I hope you are all well - typically it is raining here yet again!  I would do just about anything for a couple of weeks of nice sunshine - still nevermind at least there is crafting to do ;o)
I have been busy doing a wedding pos box for somebody but that has now been delivered so I can get back to making a few cards.  I thought I'd post a piccie of a card I have made using an itty bitty stamp which is available here . It is called rain or shine and I think it's pretty cute;

I paper pieced the stamped image for a change and I added some pearly bronze PVA from Cosmic Shimmer.  I used some papers which I have ahd for ages and I just love the umbrellas (very apt for us in the UK at the moment!!)  The ribbon started out as cream seam binding but I sprayed it with Dylusions spray in Postbox red .  I added some Bakers Twine and a cute dazzler heart on the top - I am loving these they are so sparkly ;o)  I inked all the edges with gathered twigs and added the sentiment which I heat embossed.  I finished by doing the inside of the card to match.
I hope you like it.

Don't forget there is a design team call if you just scroll to the post below this one for more details and to enter or you could just click here and it will take you straight there ;o)

Design Team Call

Hello everyone ;o)  Well I am finally getting around to the design team call!!  So here we go;
I am looking for 4, or possibly 5, people to be on a design team for challenges hosted on this blog.  The challenges will initially be monthly and each months winner will receive either a fixed prize or a voucher to spend in the Ladybug Crafts online store .  Winners will be picked by random number generator and ther will be a top three chosen by myself and the design team members.

 To begin with members of the design team will receive some stamped images to use in their design team projects and as time goes on , if the challenges take off (which I am really hoping they will ;o)) they may also receive some bits and pieces from me such as rubber stamps, ribbon or other embellishments etc.  Design team members will also receive 10% off purchases made from the online shop ;o)

The challenges will be open to all types of craft and I would like the design team members to advertise the challenges on their blog, so one stipulation is that people interested in becoming part of the design team must have their own blog and post regularly.  Each challenge will start on the 1st of each month , so DT members will post their projects and details of the challenge on this date - they must ensure that pictures of their projects are sent to me at least three days before each new challenge is due to begin.  Design team members will have a blinkie that they can display on their blogs (if I can ever work out how to get the sorted out LOL)

I think that is about all for now, fine details will be sorted before the challenges start which will hopefully be the 1st of August.  I am running the DT call for 2 months to give ample time for people to respond.  If you just add your details through Mr Linky at the bottom of this post I will get round to look at all of your fab art works ;o)  Winners will be notified by the 20th July.

New things

Hello!!!  Well May is here along with some really foul wintery weather - so great crafting weather ;o)  I have just added the wonderful Dylusions spray ink range to the website -

They are so bright and just amazing for journalling, tag art and lots of other crafty projects.

Also added are some of the Dylusions 5 x 8 stencils

This one is the dotted flowers one and they are great for using with the sprays, distress inks, paint or just doodling through them with a pen ;o)
There are also a few sets of Dyan Reaveleys rubber stamps including this one;

This is the funky Pondering Petunia - I just love the quirky images.  I will be hopefully expanding the range very soon.

The Distress Markers have also arrived;

There are 37 markers in the range - 36 distress colours plus picket fence.  The full set comes in a great storage cannister and the price is great at £92.50.  For those who want to buy the pens individually they will be available shortly at £2.89 each.

Finally I have also added some lovely metal charms - keys and watch faces and also the great clear micro beads from Creative Expressions;

These beads are great for texture on card and scrapbook projects and also available are the super sticky double sided adhesive sheets.  This 300g pot will last for ages and is a great buy at £8.99.

Finally I am hoping to post over the next few days to set up a design team for the blog challenge - I am desperately trying to work out blinkies and things but think I'm going to have to seek out someone who is better at the computer thing than  I am !!  I am struggling to get to grips with Blogger's new interface so anything else just stumps me LOL.
Anyway I will be back shortly
